The Swedish armed forces will receive additional software-defined radios (SDR radios) for around 20 million euros. The Swedish procurement authority Försvarets materielverk (FMV) has commissioned Elbit Systems Germany with the delivery of the radios from the E-LynX series within 30 months. Elbit is thus continuing the delivery of E-LynX radios to Sweden, which has been ongoing since 2016.
The Swedes receive vehicle-based two-channel E-LynX-SDR solutions, which also have vehicle-configured full-duplex multi-channel technology as part of the tactical radio retrofit program. The patented multi-channel technology offers dynamic and autonomous optimization of bandwidth allocation and allows multiple missions to be carried out at the same time. The technology is interoperable, immune to interference and ensures fast, reliable and secure communication in any terrain.
The SDR radios of the E-LynX product family are based on an open architecture. They have unique waveforms and support European or NATO waveforms. Various European armed forces, for example in Germany, Switzerland, Spain and other NATO countries have already opted for an E-LynX SDR solution.
