Daniel Scheer is a new member of the Executive Board at Elbit Systems Deutschland

With his new position as Chief Sales Officer, Daniel Scheer has taken over the management of the Sales and Marketing division since the 2nd half of 2022. At the same time, he has thus been promoted to the Executive Board of Elbit Systems Deutschland (ESDE). He had already gained experience at ESDE as Key Account Manager and responsible person for the strategic adjustment of sales to the new orientation of the system house.

Mr Scheer holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering and an MBA International Management from the German Armed Forces Universities of Hamburg and Munich and Reutlingen University. His military career took him from training as a maintenance officer in the army to various managerial assignments and finally to the German-French Brigade. From there, he took on the position of Regional Customer Manager at Heeresinstandsetzungslogistik GmbH.

Born in Hesse, he began his civilian career at HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH as a sales manager in Oberkochen, where he was primarily responsible for the sale of visual systems for battle tanks in Germany and South America.

From 2021, Daniel Scheer was Key Account Manager for the areas of command information systems and cyber at ESDE. In 2022, he then already took over as Chief Sales Officer in charge of the Sales and Marketing division, which also includes the offices in Koblenz and Berlin. With the new responsibility, Scheer was appointed to the executive board and was granted procuration of the company. He now faces the challenges of further strengthening the market position of Elbit Systems Deutschland. In particular, representing the broad product portfolio of the globally active Elbit Systems on the German market and promoting the transfer of technology and innovation to the German Federal Republic is one of his core tasks.

“An exciting and varied task lies ahead and it is my goal to ensure that we make the best possible contribution to the freedom of all people in Europe. For me, as a former officer, this includes first and foremost equipping our armed forces with modern, innovative and forward-looking technology that enables them to fulfil their mission in our digital age,” the new Head of Mission commented on his personal motivation in his new job.
